An extremely touching dining experience...

In 45 years of marriage, my husband and i have never been so touched by service, food, and attention to detail as we were at Vito's. We were attending a show at the Bushnell, and heard about Vito's from a friend so decided to try it out. We never expected to end up so emotional! We were the first to arrive before the "bushnell night crowd" as our server appropriately described it and were immediately greeted by a smiling, spunky young hostess who was eager to take our jackets and seat us at our table. Our server promptly came over to introduce herself. She took the time to ask if we had been to Vito's before, and when we admitted it was our first time, took the time to introduce us to the restaurant and the menu. We were immediately familiarized and excited to eat! My husband got the cherrystone clams from the raw bar and they threw in an extra one. I wasn't particularly fond of my Savingnon Blanc, and my server checked up on us after she poured it and was happy to allow me the chance to try the other varieties they had by the glass until i found one i liked. For dinner we ordered the lamb and the pasta a la roberto and both came our hot and cooked to order. The best part of our experience was after we paid our bill and were getting ready to leave. It was close to Valentine's Day, and our waitress must have overheard that we wouldn't be together on Feb. 14th but that we were celebrating then instead. So she surprised us with a mini creme brulee, and had took the time to draw a heart out of chocolate on the plate. We have never had someone do that for us, ever. Vito's will forever hold a place in our hearts from hear on out, and we promise to be back again. Our friends will be visiting in April, and you know exactly where we will be taking them!
