The best!
June 7, 2011 by Anonymous Eater

Tomasso's is one of my absolute favorite Italian restaurants, and there are MANY to choose from in my area.

From the outside (it's within a small strip mall), you would never imagine that this establishment was so elegant and spacious. The decor is beautiful, and the lighting is perfect for a romantic dinner. Unless there is a function or a few large parties going on, I would consider this restaurant perfect for a relaxing evening out a first date, a friend, or any loved one. It isn't too loud, so you can actually carry on a conversation without shouting.

The food is delicious, and the presentation sophisticated. I went in one evening over the winter to purchase a gift certificate for a family member for Christmas and I in their bar area. While perusing their menu, I ordered a drink and a salad. The owner (who always seems to make an appearance, which is a great thing) made me a special salad that would feed about 4 people easily and it was full of all types of delicious and fresh fruits and vegetables. It's service and special touches like this that always find me back at this restaurant for special get togethers.

I would, and do recommend this restaurant for anybody looking for a fine dining experience with a loyal, experienced wait staff. The atmosphere, service, and menu from apps, entrees, dessert and drinks/wine has this special place a 5 star restaurant in my book!

Always a treat!

I often take business associates to Tomasso's. The place is a little unassuming at first as it is located in a strip mall. But once inside, you would think you were in Italy. The food is always perfect and the service is first rate. The owner calls me by name each time we go and always pays us a visit at our table to offer a warm welcome and see how things are going. Great fun to speak Italian, too.

Don't miss this hidden gem.

What a mistake!
November 21, 2010 by LFL8888

My husband and I chose to host our sons' Baptism reception at Tomasso's - what a poor decision. Fairly I must say there were no complaints about the quality of their food but I must say their service was TERRIBLE. Tomasso hired only 2 servers for a group of nearly 50 people. Not to mention we were there for 5 hours for antipasto, salad, pasta, and entree - can't count the cake seeing as though my husband and I had to personally hand it all out.

When brought to his attention, he refused to take my concerns - and blamed it on the fact that we had 6 additional diners. For a restaurant that claims they have a banquet facility - you would think this wouldn't be an issue. Tomasso was very disrespectful to me - yelling on the phone - blaming us and his abused servers (that is what I call servers that are given WAY more than what should be expected of them) - and ended our conversation by hanging up on me!

If I knew I would be passing out forks and getting up every 5 minutes to calm my guests down for having to wait as long as they did- we would have NEVER gave you the business.

Shame on you for handling the situation the way you did - I hope it was worth losing the business of almost 50 people (not to mention all the people they will tell) and all the people who will read this.

Beautiful and romantic
December 31, 2009 by Sgt P

My husband and I dined here for the first time in November. We went for our anniversary. The food was incredible and the restaurant was charming and romantic. We traveled there from Fairfield on the recommendation of a friend. It was well worth the hour long ride. We will definitely visit again.

So terribly rude and sub standard
October 12, 2009 by L'artiste

This past weekend we as a group of 12 decided to have dinner at this restaurant. As there were quite a few of us we called in advance at 7pm and were told there would be a 45 minute wait which we felt was acceptable. Upon our arrival we were directed to their VERY NOISY bar to wait... and wait... and wait. We were finally seated in the nearly empty dining room (why the wait?) where we were treated by the proprietor as though we were a major inconvenience. He dictated what his billing terms were which we were willing to work around. Frankly I don't understand... here are 12 mature, responsible people spending a considerable amount of money, being treated as though we're social outcasts. If you put a small space between the tables then aren't we just a few small groups of people? FINALLY around 10PM they brought our sub standard dinners. The menu is rather high priced for the amount and quality of the (in some cases - COLD)food. If I could, I would give this restaurant a MINUS rating. Oh, and did I mention that the dipping oil tasted rancid? A terrible experience.

Good food, problems with noise
July 11, 2007 by Anonymous Eater

The food was good - very nice free appetizer (good cheese, roasted peppers, olives, bread). Entrees were very good, generous and inspired. But the acoustics were very bad. Loud music from the lounge competed with the Sinatra ballads in the restaurant. That, along with the air conditioning buzz and the inconsiderate employee banging pans behind the dessert/coffee bar gave me a headache. If they could just correct that this would be a great restaurant.
