If you are a real food critic and nor a tweaker on a low mans budget living on welfare you'll tastefully agree it's the BEST pizza....PERIOD! if you're a value menu person there's a clean McDonald's in same parking lot for you. And dugh who the hell goes to a pizza joint for a burger - idiot! The Rock---ROCKS It! You nailed it guys, thanks for the slice of heaven!

Who's the CHEF?
April 23, 2011 by foodie123

Went there specifically for the pizza, Expectations weren't that high, just wanted a good pizza! So disappointed I will not return. I wasn't going to rate this at all but I gave it a "1" because the crust was decent!Extremely chintzy on the meat toppings! Ordered 3 different medium pizzas and there was literally 5 pieces of meat on one pizza,OMG if you want to save money on the meat at least load up on veggies but that topping was disappointing as well! REALLY? With the prices you are charging....what a ripp off!Want EXTREME toppings on and EXTREMELY large pizza? Go to Costco...$9.99, that's a deals worth of pizza pie!

nylon pieces in pizza
March 6, 2011 by bre

My husband and I ate here today. I got the philly burger which was so drenched in fake cheese (velveta) that my bread was drenched. I decided to eat a piece of my husbands pizza before I got sick, and immediately found two pieces of what looked like fishing line! Yuk! I told the waiter whose response was that we were lucky we got a small pizza by mistake instead of a personal size, which we ordered, and that he would let the cook know. I didn't feel so lucky for the hours afterward that I thought I was going to throw up, just thinking about this. I have to wonder what nylon pieces do in your stomach and GI since they no doubt do not digest. Hopefully my husband didn't down this in his hunger to eat without observing what might be in the pizza, but then who would ever think you would find this??? On the way out to leave, my husband grabbed a dum dum sucker for both of us, grape. I was surprised to find that mine was not grape, but orange, although in a grape wrapper. I won't eat at this place again, or recommend this as an eatery to anyone I know.

to all the snob haters
February 20, 2011 by Anonymous Eater

The original rock is downtown tacoma in the slums, the drinks are awesome and the food is great. Nothing is cheap anymore unless you want to eat mcds.... and I'm not rich or snobby by any means.

GOOD GRIEF!!!! THIS PLACE IS OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!!! It's no wonder it's in Lakeland Hills, only those rich snobs can afford to eat here.

Ordered the Wild had 2 mushrooms on it, very little toppings, mostly dough, and sauce.

NEVER going to waste my hard earned money there again....

Great Food and Atmosphere
November 2, 2010 by Anonymous Eater

Our family ate here and loved it. Don't listen to people who say there is not enough food. You get plenty of food and it was excellent. By far our favorite pizza in the area. If this place does not fill you up you probably enjoy unhealthy portion sizes.

$4 for a side salad with barely any lettuce
December 22, 2009 by Anonymous Eater

I ate at The Rock with my family (of 4) last weekend. Both my husband and I ordered side salads. Both had less than a handful of lettuce as the base. I get more lettuce on a taco from Taco Time or Taco Bell!

The price was ridiculous for what we got. The pizza tasted good, but they don't offer an extra large pizza for a family. Everyone got 2 and with the lack of salad, we had to go get my husband something else to eat on the way home. We would have been better off going to Spbarro at the mall!

The Rock Resteraunt
November 18, 2009 by Nikki66

This is a dinner to remember... as you walk in, your nostrils fill with the wonderful scrumptious smell of the pizza, burgers and their fruity buckets. The rock is a great restaurant and their food is to die for, best pizza out their. Wood fired....delicious! I love to go there.

Only the pasta is worth it!
September 8, 2009 by rujo816

I just ate at the Rock in Federal Way with my bf last night. It was not worth it at all and wished we spent our $40 somewhere else. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was so dry, hardly any bbq sauce on it. Instead of the meat being juicy and soft, it was hard and seemed old. My bf ordered the philly burger. SO NOT WORTH TRYING! the burger didn't even fill the bread, the so-called caramelized onions weren't caramelized at all! it was just soggy and mushy. The bell peppers were soft and seemed over-cooked. And the cheese did not go with the burger at all! Food was nasty and a waste of money. Pizza is way over priced for its small size! The only thing yummy at the Rock is the shrimp scampi pasta.
