My family & I attended the Apple Festival last weekend and ate @ the Pink Pig in Cherry Log, which wasnt far from the festival. My husband had the BBQ sampler.. it was great. But I must say I liked the Burnswick stew the best! It was out of this world!!!!! Can wait to eat there again!

Worth the Drive to Cherry Log
December 28, 2008 by BBQ Girl ATL
Oh my goodness, I have never tasted brunswick stew this good in my life. It is to die for. The Pork is excellent with the freshest taste, they must cook it fresh daily, they have a vinegar based sauce like no other. I heard the late owner, Mr Bud worked on it for 10 years untill he got it just right. His grandaughter told me he even added on more spice to it just a few years back. This is a great family place where you will get great service and excellent food. I was told that Mr Bud passed away in late November from cancer of some kind but his family sure is doing a great job keeping this place going... Good job and well worth the drive.. Let's support this place for sure a small business trying to make it in a fast growing town................

The Pink Pig - Yum Yum
November 6, 2008 by Borders Family
The Pink Pig has served my family and I consistently for 15 years. We have always had an enjoyable dining experience - the food, the service, the rustic appeal and the employees, including Mr. Bud, are what makes this place a gem in the North Georgia mountains.
Several items to consider include the Garlic Salad (secret sauce gives it the lip smacking appeal), the Brunswick Stew, Bud's Spuds (fries) and Peach cobbler (when they have it).
Overall, this is a solid and economical choice for some good ole BBQ.

excellent stew and cue, tasty st louis style ribs, orginal, flavor packed garlic salad, marvelous onion rings and fried green tomatoes, fall off the bone smoked chicken, thick cut fantastic ribeye steaks, adn succulent cobbler topped with hand packed ice cream keep us coming back for more. fries are hand cut potaotes, and can at times be a little greasy, but at least they are real taters. beans are good, hamburgers great, and even flounder surprisingly good grilled. we've never had a bad meal, poor service, or even a single bad experience at the pink pig. very friendly folks, and great bbq!

The Pink Pig is a restaurant we visit everytime we come up to Blue Ridge. They've always had great service, and the food was great. Their rack of baby back ribs is to die for, and I don't know if the people under me have really been to the pink pig or not but from what thy're saying, probably not! I'd definately recommend it.

The Big Don't Bother

Took a friend there last weekend because I had the stew a couple weeks prior. It was good. My friend had the pork sandwich, I had a combo plate of chopped (minced) dried out, flavorless, pork, beef and ribs. Yuck-O. It was the worst I have EVER had. My fries were barely warm and glissened with oil. And the tea wasn't all that.
We couldn't eat our meals, even though we were hungry. If Pig Pig was ever any good, it ain't now.

Close it down!

This restaurant looked so promising from the outside- rustic and tucked into the hillside. Unfortunately, it was the worst barbecue... no, the worse food we've ever had in our entire lives. The barbecue pork and ribs were so dry that it was like eating straw. Any drier and it could have been made into pork jerky. The french fries came out dripping. Not just a little greasy- actually dripping from being fried in oil that was probably only 100 degrees. The Brunswick stew was the only edible thing. Overall very disappointing. But the charm of Blue Ridge, GA, one town over, and the mountains were worth seeing. Blue Ridge has GREAT shops and friendly folks.
