Best Lo Mein in La Crosse

I'm very picky about my chinese food, particularly my lo mein. The Dragon has the best lo main in La Crosse, and their egg drop soup is fantastic. I also reccomend their potstickers. It really doesn't look like much from the outside; doesn't look like much from the inside either. However the food makes up for it tenfold.

We don't eat out a lot, but when we do it's usually carryout or dine-in at The Dragon. Their lo mein is excellent, and kung pao sides are great too. Even the 500 Club stuff is very good. Another fave is the Hong Sue Vegetables - get it with fried bean curd and you won't be dissapointed. Portions are large. The only thing I've had their but don't like are their pot stickers, they're puffy, too thick, and the flavor is odd. I would stay away from their buffet. It's a small restaurant and the size of the buffet reflects that. Staff seems overworked, esp. the dude running the front counter. Try smiling, buddy! Sure wish they delivered to Onalaska!

Usually on a buffet you can find one thing you like, not here. Very unfriendly help also.

General Tao syrup

For those who know me closely, I am a fan of Chinese food, it's my favorite cuisine; I find people who don't enjoy Chinese food to be suspicious. That said, I've been to many Chinese restaurants throughout the state and country. La Crosse is my home town so obviously I've made it a habit to venture to all the Chinese restaurants. I've been to the dragon numerous times and my favorite thing to order there is their Paper Chicken. If you have no idea what it is, you have to try it sometime it's just an appetizer, only two other restaurants serve it in La Crosse. My only problem with the Dragon is the way they cook certain dishes, for an example General Taos's chicken I don't like there because it seems a bit syrupy.
