A big disappointment

I just got home from eating at Sam Taylor's Barbeque, and it was a huge letdown. "One bone is all it takes", they say, and they were right. I could only eat one bone of my ribs. The sauce wasn't even barbeque sauce- it was more like some kind of brown gravy. I had to add hot sauce to it to make it palatable! My brisket was bland. I wound up sending my leftovers home with my father-in-law.
The atmosphere and service ranked right down there with the food. Nobody greeted us when we came in, and another customer told us to "sit wherever we want". A CUSTOMER. It took forever to get our orders- even our drinks took a long time. Oh yeah... I ordered lemonade. It turned out to be diet lemonade. No mention of it being diet on the menu, but there was no mistaking that bitter aftertaste.
I've had barbeque all over Denver, and in other places (the best was, ironically, Sam's in South Austin), and I know good barbeque from bad. This wasn't the worst I've ever had, but it's the worst I've had in a long time. Consider yourself warned.
