Best place EVER

I come once a year, everyear and have been delighted and impressed every single time. I come on a mission trip with my church and we are in a party of about 30 each year. In all the times I have been here we have had AMAZING food and OUTSTANDING service. I look forward to the delightful food and can't wait to go again this year.

Overcharged for little food

At the Mcallen on expressway 83. The waiter took forever to serve.Had to Ask for napkins, forks, spoons the waiter took forever to bring.The chips and the dip were OLD. The Waiter Told us to purchase a 98.00dollars package and charged 150.00dollars, made mistake with our order and charged us for their mistake, for VERY LITTLE FOOD. We paid 220.00 total.The manager has no respect either.
Definately, be careful becouse they will overcharge you!!!!!!!!Never will I go back there again!!!!!!

The tortillas, soup, and pastries were amazing. How hard is it to remember two tortilla soups and not only it takes a long time it get the order, finally we had to ask for the ticket.

Well, my experience at Poncho's was not a pleasant one. I have to say the food was good. We were a party of about 8. The waiter just was really slow and forgetfull. I hope this problem gets "fixed" soon. It would be a shame that such a nice place get a reputation for very POOR service.

I went to the new North McAllen location...service was absolutely terrible, its obvious the waitstaff are so inexperienced...they keep forgetting things, you have to ask for everything at least 3 times before you get anything such a refill. Mistakes such as serving one drink for another and then wanting to use the same glass to serve you a different drink...food portions are ridiculously small...for a plate of sombereros for 2 you get 1/4 cup of rice and a spoonful of guacamole with a small plate of meat...we serioulsy asked twice if they were certain that was the plate for 2 because at any other restaurant that would be a single plate portion...

WENT THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME EXPECTING SOMETHING GOOD AND IT WAS TERRIBLE, THE WAITER TOOK MORE THAN 30 MIN. TO BRING THE MENU AND ONE DRINK. HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE AND THE PLACE WAS NOT EVEN PACKED.. THE MANAGER WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE.. FOOD WAS GREASY AND SCARCE.. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.. WILL NOT GO BACK..
THE ONE IN PHARR IS BETTER THAN THIS ONE.

It is hard now a days to find the kind of great service they had. It was like eating with family. The food was great and the price was great. Great atmosphere and Mariachi's on a tuesday night!! AWESOME!
